Thoughts about Dexternet`s Interlude Beta

Back in july it was said that in 1 month, dex players will get interlude. Time passed, but finally, it seamed that many players dreams will cometrue at the end of this october, when, it was announced that the dex team finally had managed to bring dex players interlude, as close as it gets to the official version.

2 days of tests were announced, but something "incredible" happened. A lot of things were/are not working, specifically interlude stuff like augments, new il weapons, clan reputation/level ups, duel system, many new skills/screwed up skills, and so on.

It seams obvious that they received IL (just like the first C4 bugged version that was on server, before they received the full C4 integraly working version) and they didn t test anything yet, put in on "beta" and now are trying to test/implement the missing stuff, wich probably it`s hard as hell and will require a lot of time.The head gm`s aproximation of 1 month wont be enough to implement some of the missing stuff.




List of things not implemented
- transparency effect on silent walk
- augmentation
- duel and party duel
- fusion
- the 2 active zariche skills (the sword itself works however)
- aquiring of hero skills (though they exist) remains to be seen
- C5 fishing
- 100% correct c5+il geodata
- 100% correct c5+il mob locations and spawns
- buff/restore herbs working
- +6 armor bonuses
- akamanah ss effect and active skills
- clan reputation points
- max clans in ally number reduction
- fusion skills
- some c5+il quests
- primeval isle-related things
- endgame summon stats and ss consumption
- divine inspiration buff slot
- Shadow Armors box : double click equip the box (should open instead)
- People killed by mob still drop items (even if not red with more than 5 pk)
- Benediction skill does not work
- Snipe does not add range
- cp pots cooldown time : Equal to c4
- no-flight zones (dying while flying in zones like valakas's lair or antharas's nest)
- summon damage in system log
- bow nerf for classes who do not have bow mastery (penalties to accuracy, patk, same as eqiupment penalty if you wear a higher grade than you can handle)
- shield block against magic attacks: Wind Strike, Aqua Swirl, Twister, Blaze, Death Spike, Prominence, Ice Dagger, Hurricane
- soulshots add damage on critical damage skills such as Mortal Blow, Deadly Blow, Lethal Blow, Blinding Blow
- lethal strike efect on critical damage skills (see above): pvp(player) reduces cp to 1, pve(mob) reduces hp to half, doesn't work on raid bosses ofc
- death penalty

We are planning on implementing all of these features in a month or so.

Location-related bugs (contributed by GMShaira of Wrath):
Shuttgart
- Frozen Labirinth area ---> Rafforty and Ice Shelf NPC (Dialogue does not work, you cannot interact with them)
- Frozen Labyrinth area ---> Mobs are of the correct type, but there are TOO MANY mobs ( I count at least 2x the exact number, especially in the group mob area)
- Frozen Labyrinth area ---> 1 Elven NPC missing near the castle of the Ice Queen
- Frozen Labyrinth area ---> Missing some scenary npc (Ice statues)
- Frozen Labyrinth area ---> Frost Iron golems and Lost Iron Golems Walk speed too fast : they must be like a Perum (cruma)

Monastery of Silence
- Banish Seraph skill does not work with the mobs in MoS ---> Fix

Primeval island
- Geodata bugged at the cave entrance in primeval island (you click on the roof -> you go to the roof)
- NPCs in the warf of primeval island -> dialogue not working (no html)

Ork Village
- The stairs near the adventurer guildman are bugged, you can't go over em.

Mob bugs:
Ice Fairy Sirra - too low stats

+1, and i hope so, it remains some major bugs which would totally mess up the gameplay, like snipe bug, or drap rate formula.
still the work is i'd say 80% done, geodata and mobs implementing used to be the most insane stuff to do, seems atm geodata works 100%. some skills still need some fix, oly does need too to match retail, clan system needs to be finished, but i think in 1 month it'll be ok. I really like the wise way they're running this, most of the servers would have launched live already, which would have been a big mistake imo, a nice ammount of peeps from wrrath are already asking to get the beta back cuz it's still a lil messed up.
the work done so far is already awesome and i really trust in the dev team, let's hope that we will get a "happy Xmass" Very Happy

i've lost hope...don't wanna get into a conspiracy theory but the same thing that happends on DEX it happends on a few other private servers..more than that..the same update page that's listed almost daily on site it can be found on others sites as well.things,in my opinion are beyond Catalin.
anyway...it was fun:)

catalin belongs to a kinda big team with most of the biggest private servers admins, i ain't suprised to see some other servers going this way. i think we go live for christmas, some fixes and the game will be playable on live without big risks of big messing itg.
